Basking Under the Beauty of Batanes 5 Days / 4 Nights

Enjoy the Scotland of the Orient.

Batanes is comprised of approximately 10 islands in the northernmost part of the Philippines and practically next to Taiwan. It is the only set of islands in the Philippines that can boast experiencing all four seasons.

A trip to Batanes is tantamount to visiting paradise: fresh air, hospitable people amidst lush verdant hills. On this travel plan, you'll get to visit three of the islands in Batanes: Basco (the capital), Sabtang and Itbayat. Most of the other islands remain uninhabited but may be visited by boat during certain times of the year.

Be warned though: visiting Batanes is not for the fainthearted. You will need to overcome any fears of cramped spaces (only very small aircraft can land on their airstrip) and brave turbulent waves (when going island hopping). Despite the challenges, visiting Batanes remains as one of those accomplishments you can gladly cross off your bucket list.

Mahatao & Basco Lighthouse
